Alexandros Katsis

Alexander Katsis was born in Athens in 1979. His interest in photoshoot started in 2007 while attending art photography classes in Ash In Art. In 2008 he attended seminars by Plato Riveli while from 2009 until today he has been trained by Thanos Papadopoulos. From 2007 to date Alexander has participated in numerous group exhibitions of national and international level and has won national and international competitions. His photographs have appeared in many prints. In 2011 he covered photographically the preparation of the Greek Mission of Special Olympics and during the races he was in charge of the Documentation Team of the International Committee (Special Olympics International).

  • 2011 International Amnesty Exhibition in Brussels for 50 years of the organization (topic of exhibition “fight discrimination”)

  • 2011 The Art of Disruption (TED)


Main distinctions are:

2009 3rd place in the International competition of Metro Magazine for Climate Change

2011 awarded in Winners of the Fight Discrimination in Europian photo contest of International Amnesty

2011 nominated from the Greek National Commission of UNESCO for the 3rd International Photo Competition “Peace Is” (organized by the NGO “World Without Wars and Violence”)
